Customer Sales Advisor

Experience: Minimum 12 months in sales

Report To: Sales Account Manager

As a family business working in the pressure systems safety industry, providing Written Schemes of Examinations (WSE) to businesses for the past 28 years, using our own engineering force. With the launch of PressureSafe, Pressure Systems Service Providers now have the ability to carry out examinations at the same time as a service, reducing logistical problems and increasing efficiency.

PressureSafe provides a digital examination reporting method, and each report is individually checked prior to publishing with the WSE and making it available to the customer.

Job Overview:

First point of contact for clients, providing advice for works required, along with pricing for new and existing customers. Orders inputting to a CRM system and sending acknowledgments of receipt.

Working with the Sales Account Manager to develop new business opportunities, requiring outbound calls to both current and potential clients.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Core Duties:

  • General enquiries
    • Answering the telephone and directing to the correct person, unless the query can be answered immediately.
  • Sales – Inbound/Repeat
    • Taking details of the company and equipment, entering onto a Google form for quoting.
    • Quoting customers over the phone and email
    • Contacting existing customers to obtain an order for the next visit
  • Sales – Outbound
    • Working alongside the Sales Account Manager to obtain new business, via phone or in person.
    • Generating new sales leads and converting to orders.
  • Order Input
    • Adding orders from clients to our CRM system and sending acknowledgements to confirm receipt.

Day to Day Activities:

On a normal daily basis this role will be the first point of contact for all calls received by the company. This can range from new sales enquiries to current clients requiring information. As part of this role, where possible and with the knowledge, questions and queries will be answered at the point of contact. Where specialist knowledge, or direct contact with another member of staff is required, the call will be transferred. Quotations for current and new clients is a daily event. New customers require information gathered about their company and equipment, using a Google form. Current customers due will be located on our bespoke CRM system and contacted to inform them that the work is required again. In both instances an email would be sent to verify the quotation, however if possible confirmation over the phone is the best option. Documents from the order would then be saved into the system and the work passed on to the next department.

Day to day this role is predominantly for the core business whereby the company’s engineers would attend site and carry out the works required.

Contribution to the organisation:

Being the first point of contact this role is the start of the clients journey with the company and first impressions are vital. Receiving orders is the start of the process for the company, whereby a set amount of sales are required each week and month in order to achieve the end result, which is distributed from the management team.

Reporting to the Sales Account Manager you will work together to achieve the objectives of the department, ensuring targets are reached. The works obtained from this role are passed to our Fleet Co-ordinator for planning.

At times you may be asked to carry out additional duties for the business, however these would not be unreasonable requests.

Desirable:

Sales and/or Service qualification to Level 3 or equivalent

Knowledge relating to Pressure Systems Safety Regulations 2000
